Canteen worker in Vejle 

At Danish Crown’s factory in Vejle, we are looking for a canteen employee who, in addition to having a passion for food, is also interested in working with coordination and team leadership. Over time, the ideal candidate should be able to see themselves in the role of daily coordinator for a team of five engaged and skilled employees.


The factory in Vejle annually produces approximately 45,000 tons of food, primarily canned goods, and employs around 300 people.


About the Position
The position is 32.5 hours per week, divided into day and evening shifts on weekdays. The canteen is closed on weekends and public holidays. Day shifts are from 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM, and evening shifts are from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Shifts are scheduled within the team based on an agreed rotation.


We offer an exciting workplace with dedicated colleagues and great teamwork. As our new team member, you will join a canteen team responsible for daily catering for approximately 300 employees, as well as servicing and catering for meeting rooms.


The canteen offers breakfast, lunch, and evening meals daily. In addition, there are varying activities related to events and meeting catering.


We are looking for a colleague who can eventually take on the role of daily coordinator for the team and act as a training supervisor for the canteen’s apprentice. Therefore, both personal and professional qualifications, as well as solid practical experience in the field, are emphasized.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing hot and cold meals as well as baking
  • Setting up food on the serving buffet
  • Operating the cash register
  • Clearing tables
  • Dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen
  • Ongoing training for the role as daily coordinator

 

We Expect:

  • You have a relevant professional background as a nutrition assistant or similar
  • You actively and enthusiastically participate in the daily operations of the canteen, are quality-conscious, and willing to go the extra mile during busy periods
  • You are proficient in Danish, both written and spoken
  • You are positive, smiling, and approachable, with the ability to motivate and engage your colleagues and create structure in daily operations
  • You are flexible and thrive in a varied work environment
