Trading Product Manager 

Purpose of the job:

The Product Manager Ingredients is responsible for managing and developing assigned product categories within the Ingredients business.

The role acts as the product expert and key coordinator between Sales, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D and suppliers, ensuring that product portfolios meet customer needs, regulatory requirements and business objectives.

The position supports portfolio performance through market analysis, product development, technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

Main responsibility areas:

Product Portfolio Management

• Manage assigned product categories throughout their lifecycle
• Monitor portfolio performance and support pricing decisions
• Contribute to product rationalisation and portfolio optimisation
• Support budget and forecast activities related to assigned categories

Market & Customer Support

• Provide product expertise to customers and commercial teams
• Support key customer opportunities and tender responses
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitive developments
• Participate in customer meetings and industry exhibitions when relevant

Product Development & Innovation

• Identify opportunities for new products and portfolio enhancements
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality and R&D to evaluate suppliers and new solutions
• Coordinate product launches and implementation activities
• Support innovation initiatives aligned with customer and market requirements

Compliance & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Monitor regulatory developments affecting assigned product categories
• Support product compliance and documentation requirements
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement and R&D
• Contribute to the resolution of customer and product-related issues
