Logistics Supervisor | Rochdale
Lead our warehouse and transport operations to ensure every product moves safely, accurately and efficiently from intake to despatch.
What you will be doing
As the Logistics Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind our daily warehouse operations, ensuring our team meets high standards of performance and service while maintaining a safety-first culture.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all intake, storage, and despatch schedules, ensuring strict FIFO compliance and load accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Supervise shift operations, manage staffing levels, and coach your team to maintain peak performance and welfare.
- Inventory Integrity: Maintain real-time SAP data accuracy and conduct regular stock reconciliations to minimise write-offs.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion Health & Safety protocols, conduct equipment checks, and ensure all activities meet food safety and audit standards.
What you will bring
We are looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the technical expertise to manage complex supply chain demands.
- Experience: Proven background in warehouse or transport supervision, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with a track record of meeting OTIF targets.
- Hard Skills: High proficiency in SAP or similar WMS/ERP systems, competence in Microsoft Office, and an understanding of temperature-controlled food safety; a valid Forklift license is a distinct advantage.
- Soft Skills: A decisive problem-solver and effective communicator who can motivate a team under pressure while maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
