Drive our ESG agenda by transforming sustainability strategy into measurable action across Danish Crown UK.
What you will be doing
As a key driver of our green transition, you will work closely with the Sustainability Business Partner to implement initiatives that minimise our environmental footprint while supporting our core business goals. You will be the bridge between high-level strategy and daily operational improvement, ensuring our sustainability performance is both transparent and impactful.
- Strategy & Implementation: Identify and prioritise key areas for sustainability improvement, coordinating specific projects such as waste reduction, energy efficiency and recycling programs.
- Data & Reporting: Collect and analyse Scope 1, 2 and 3 data to update sustainability dashboards, ensuring all reporting meets Danish Crown’s high standards and legislative requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across all UK departments and internal forums to promote awareness, deliver sustainability training and build commitment to our ESG goals.
- Process Optimisation: Streamline procedures across the business unit to reduce resource consumption and share best practices for continuous environmental improvement.
What you will bring
We are looking for a proactive professional who balances technical data expertise with the communication skills needed to influence change across a complex manufacturing landscape.
- Experience: You have a proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives within a corporate context, ideally with experience in the UK meat industry or a similar manufacturing environment. You are comfortable managing projects from initial concept to completion and have experience in customer-facing roles.
- Soft Skills: You possess excellent communication and dissemination skills, with the ability to lead and motivate interdisciplinary teams. You are a self-starter who uses your own initiative to work independently and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Hard Skills: You hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Business Management. You have strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data sets and a deep understanding of sustainability frameworks and environmental legislation.
