Area of responsibility

 

Responsible for daily stock levels on site, ensuring date rotation is adhered to and that the optimum levels are on site for customer requirements, investigating any shortages and liaising with sales and shipping departments to support the site requirements.

 

 

Specific tasks:

 

  • Responsible for regular stock audits and stockroom organisation and for responding to any stock queries
  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
  • Be familiar with product range and identification codes
  • Responsible for timely verification of all deliveries making sure the right product is in the right place at the right time to enhance production
  • Coordinate and execute the counting process to satisfy the internal and external auditors
  • Deal with inbound and outbound stock orders using predefined policy and formulae
  • Identify any stock discrepancies and report variance
  • Support with accurate and detailed records of our internal stock management system
  • Communicate with planning, reporting any discrepancies with delivery or any damages to stock
  • Maintain and update daily shipment records
  • Track shipments and address any delays
  • Goods receipting purchase details into internal databases.
  • Increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of products at all times.
  • Liaise effectively with MRP planner, warehouse staff and internal teams
  • Coordinate stock control operations with warehouse colleagues, as well as the sales and finance departments.
  • Regular stock rec’s across Arolink and Wamas – coordinate with IT and Wamas team to resolve any issues
  • Coordinate with logistics any commercial sales to make sure they leave site correct
  • Ensure that Health and Safety standards are upheld
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are maintained
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change as required

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Demonstrable experience as a stock controller, preferably in a fast-paced food processing industry
  • A good knowledge of supply chain procedures and analysis
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good negotiation, collaboration and communication skills
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
