Operational Finance Assistant | Rochdale

Get your foot in the door of a global food leader with a role that offers hands-on exposure to the fast-paced world of manufacturing finance.

What you will be doing

You will be a key support pillar for our Operations Finance team, helping to bridge the gap between raw data and real-world production performance.

  • Support operational P&L reporting by managing essential accruals and journals.
  • Produce weekly and month-end reports that track critical KPIs like labour efficiency and yield.
  • Analyse performance variances and translate financial data into actionable insights for production and operations teams.
  • Utilise Excel to maintain data integrity and support informed management decision-making.

What you will bring

We are looking for an analytical individual who is eager to learn and thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

  • Experience: Some previous experience in a finance or accounts role is preferred, and while not essential, exposure to a manufacturing or food production environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Soft Skills: You possess strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, allowing you to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues effectively.
  • Hard Skills: You are highly comfortable working with data and possess proficient Excel skills to handle complex analysis.
