Hygiene Services Co-Ordinator | Rochdale

What you will be doing
As the Hygiene Services Co-ordinator, you will balance operational oversight with essential administrative management, split approximately across admin (55%), planning (20%) and factory-based tasks (25%). Your daily responsibilities include:
- Supply & Budget Management: Managing day-to-day consumable stock requirements, using the NAV system for purchase orders and tracking spend against budgets to ensure constant supply levels.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintaining all legal and hygiene-related documentation, including waste collection notes, ATP swab data analysis and sign-off sheets ready for audits.
- Operational Planning: Creating comprehensive cleaning plans in compliance with HACCP, COSHH and H&S regulations, while also managing specialist cleaning tasks.
- Team Coordination: Tracking the performance of general hygiene operators, managing holiday schedules and conducting 1-2-1 performance meetings.
- Facility Oversight: Ensuring high standards in non-production areas such as car parks, amenities, changing rooms and factory offices.
- Leadership Cover: Stepping in to lead the hygiene team and external contractors during Supervisor or Team Leader absences.
What you will bring
We are looking for a dynamic and assertive leader who is passionate about hygiene and food safety. You should be a proactive problem-solver who can interpret and take action on data to aid the site team in improving quality performance.
- Hard Skills: HACCP Level 2 (Level 3 desired), Level 3 Hygiene Training and excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and NAV/UKG systems.
- Experience: A deep understanding of site hygiene and food safety requirements, experience managing consumables and budgets and a background in coordinating cleaning operations within a regulated environment.
- Soft Skills: Highly developed communication and influencing skills, a "lead by example" mentality and the ability to exercise fairness and equity when addressing personal issues of conflict.
