Finance Analyst - Production (Interim) | Rochdale
As our new Interim Finance Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting operational efficiency and value creation at our flagship Rochdale facility by providing critical financial insights and driving data integrity across our production teams.
What you will be doing
In this nine-month fixed-term contract, you will lead the charge for financial accuracy on the shop floor, working closely with manufacturing, planning and stock control teams to provide timely performance data and resolve production deviations.
- Data Integrity: Contribute to ensuring high-quality data recording in our production and inventory systems, driving consistently high standards of system integrity across all functions.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reporting routines, including yield analysis, production deviations and site overheads, to support the drive for excellence.
- Business Partnering: Partner with non-financial colleagues to improve their financial understanding and accountability, helping them to identify trends and the root causes of operational issues.
- System Alignment: Ensure strict alignment between production data, SAP and financial reporting to create a single source of truth for ongoing site improvements.
What you will bring
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who balances analytical rigour with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across the production floor.
- Experience: You should have a proven track record in an FMCG, food or high-volume manufacturing operational finance role, alongside proven business partnering experience with operational functions. Ideally, you are a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with one to two years’ experience.
- Hard Skills: You must possess advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability in SAP (or a similar ERP) and integrated MES systems for product costing, inventory and process order management; knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
- Soft Skills: A strong communicator who can look beyond the data, you are comfortable investigating issues, asking challenging questions and drawing independent conclusions while holding colleagues accountable for costs and internal controls.
Why join us
This is a pivotal role where you won't just be crunching numbers; you will have the autonomy to investigate operational variances and the authority to drive real change in our cost-improvement processes.
By joining our Rochdale team at both a state-of-the-art bacon and gammon slicing facility and our UK head office, you will find a working environment that values your financial expertise and provides a clear platform for professional exposure within the wider Danish Crown network.
You will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operational efficiency every day. Working structured hours (Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–15:00) with a competitive salary, you will be part of a team that prizes proactive financial management and rewards those who are ambitious, curious and ready to lead by example.
