Sustainability Manager - Carbon Accounting & SBTi Commitment 

Help Drive Data‑Driven Climate Action in a Leading Food Company.


At Danish Crown, we challenge ourselves to find better solutions for the future. As part of our commitment to responsible business practices, we are now looking for a Sustainability Manager to join us. In this role, you will strengthen our climate accounting and sustainability reporting efforts, particularly in relation to our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, while enabling the business to translate data into real climate improvements.


Empower Climate Action Through Data and collaboration across the group
You will be part of the ESG and Sustainability team within Group Sustainability, where you will take ownership of our climate accounting framework and SBTi roadmap, while ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability legislation. You will support the organization with robust calculations, insights, and governance, and help business units identify and drive concrete climate improvement initiatives.


A core element of the role is to connect data, strategy, and execution by supporting management and business leaders with clear analyses, decision‑making material, and recommendations on decarbonization pathways.


You will lead progress on our SBTi‑aligned roadmap, including responsibility for the SBTi steering committee, ensuring alignment and follow‑up across the organization. In addition, you will play a key role in sustainability reporting, ensuring timely and accurate climate data for our annual report in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive complete climate accounting 
  • Own and lead the SBTi commitment, including responsibility for the SBTi steering committee
  • Support business units with data, insights, and guidance to drive emissions reductions and continuous improvements
  • Prepare decision material, analyses, and recommendations to support management and leadership decision‑making
  • Be responsible for climate‑related data in sustainability and annual reporting
  • Ensure strong data quality, governance, and documentation in ESG reporting
  • Monitor and help implement relevant climate‑related legislation and standards (e.g. ESRS E1)
  • Contribute to the strategic development of climate‑related initiatives, targets, and roadmaps

 

Travel is expected (approximately 10–15 days per year). The position is based at our headquarters in Randers or at our office in Copenhagen, depending on your preference.


Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with GHG-protocol carbon accounting.
  • Proven experience with SBTi and business‑led decarbonization strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
