Senior Sustainability Specialist - Human and Labour Rights, Sedex & EcoVadis

At Danish Crown, we are committed to developing responsible, transparent, and future-ready business practices across our value chain. We are now looking for a Senior Sustainability Specialist to help drive our Human and Labour Rights programme and strengthen our work with Sedex, SMETA, and EcoVadis across the group.

 

Empower responsible business through strong programmes and cross-functional collaboration
You will play a central role in driving and further developing Danish Crown’s Human and Labour Rights programme, ensuring alignment with international standards, customer expectations, and relevant EU regulation.


Working closely across business units and functions, you will help translate complex requirements into practical guidance, support consistent implementation, and strengthen governance, transparency, and continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for the group-level coordination and development of Sedex and EcoVadis, while supporting selected supply chain and sustainability programmes where relevant. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Drive, maintain, and continuously improve Danish Crown’s Human and Labour Rights programme in line with international standards and relevant EU regulation, including CSRD and CSDDD 
  • Support human and labour rights due diligence, readiness assessments, gap analyses, monitoring, and follow-up across the organisation and supply chain
  • Prepare content and documentation for annual reporting and external frameworks, including EcoVadis, Sedex, and relevant human rights reporting frameworks
  • Create guidelines, best practices, learning material, and practical tools to support consistent local implementation
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge sharing on human rights, labour rights, and social compliance
  • Manage and develop Danish Crown’s Sedex/SMETA and EcoVadis programmes at group level, including governance, onboarding, documentation and training support
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and relevant programme stakeholders, while also supporting selected sustainability initiatives where relevant

 

Your profile
You have a relevant master’s degree or similar background within areas such as human rights, international law, sustainability, social sciences, labour standards, ethics, or a related field.


You bring solid experience in social compliance, supply chains, human rights due diligence from a global company. Ideally, you have hands-on experience with Sedex and EcoVadis, including governance, scoring, audit follow-up, and improvement planning.


You bring:

  • Strong understanding of and experience in working with international human rights and labour standards, including UNGP, OECD Guidelines, and ILO conventions as well as reporting requirements according to CSDDD
  • Ability to analyse, validate, and communicate data and insights in a clear and practical way, experience in developing practical guidelines, training material, and workshops
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate across functions, countries, and organisational levels
  • Experience in translating strategies into actual action and empowering people to implement progress plans
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
