Senior Sustainability Specialist
At Danish Crown we are challenging ourselves and taking the lead in finding sustainable solutions. As an important part of this, we are looking for a Senior Sustainability Specialist, for an already established position, who can further develop and implement our ambitious LCA model and join us in implementing our sustainability strategy in Danish Crown.
Drive and implement our strong sustainability strategy across the business
Overall, you will be a part of Danish Crown, QEHS & Sustainability and more specifically your role will be in leading our efforts to implement our new LCA model. Our LCA model takes the entire value chain into account, and we still have elements to develop and implement towards our farmers, production sites and customers.
In this position, your main responsibility will be to drive and implement our LCA model across the different business units in the organization. You will take the lead in continuously developing and improving our LCA standards, processes, and metrics to build strong transparency and support for strategic decision-making across business units. This means that you will collect, manage, and ensure the quality and integrity of data from multiple sources throughout our value chain from farms, abattoirs, processing to customers and consumers. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a close daily collaboration with business units as well as relevant external stakeholders.
Your main tasks will include
- Deliver strong knowledge on LCA systems for transparency, decisions and customer support.
- Develop and improve Danish Crown´s LCA model, data processes, and metrics to build a stronger transparency and support for decision-making among our colleagues and customers.
- Participate in, manage, and ensure the quality of LCA Research & Development projects in Danish Crown as well as establishing new projects in close collaboration with our business units and customers.
- Document and follow up on the different Sustainable Farming initiatives whilst reporting on progress and drafting presentations for decision forums e.g. boards or the like.
Approximately 15 travel days must be expected per year. Workplace is Danish Crown HQ in Randers, Denmark.
Strong stakeholder management and passion for sustainable food production
We imagine that you hold a relevant education at Master level in relevant field such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or data focused study. You have experience working with LCA projects and thus have solid knowledge about the methods, standards and verification process.
You possess excellent project management skills including planning, monitoring, following up, evaluation, reporting as well as stakeholder management. You master English at negotiating level.
As a person you are outgoing, service-minded and respected for your professional skills. Equally important you are an exceptional networker, communicator and role model who motivates and inspires your stakeholders in and outside of Danish Crown.
