Senior Project Manager - Group Logistics

Our supply chain is an integral part of this transformation, and you will be exposed to a diverse portfolio of projects, activities, and stakeholders across the entire company. You will become part of a newly established function, Group Logistics. In Group Logistics, we are currently forming our group strategy towards a more uniform and digital approach to logistics across our 6 business units. We engage our logistics teams in the various business units facilitating cross-collaboration and driving strategic development of the area to achieve more efficient and sustainable logistics solutions. 

 

Lead cross-organisational projects and contribute to form and deliver on our new logistics strategy 
Your primary responsibility is to lead larger strategic projects as well as smaller initiatives as a part of our logistics transformation – this being all the way from initial scoping and planning to implementation and anchoring project deliverables in the business areas and our future ways of working. Here you will collaborate with colleagues from our business units and relevant functions such as IT, Procurement, Sustainability and Finance. You will ensure that strategic projects are carried out according to project and resource plans, time frame and budgets. 

 

As Group Logistics is a recent set function, you’ll join the journey from the very beginning and have an impact on the function and its strategy. Furthermore, your tasks are: 

  • Scoping and preparation of projects together with identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Collecting and evaluating facts and inputs to form a solid baseline for the benefit case of the projects
  • Lead and motivate project members
  • Engage stakeholders and relevant functions in projects and solutions to grow commitment and buy in to the future solution
  • Build project plans and secure project delivery according to success criteria 
  • Contribute to identifying potentials and further developing the logistics strategy.


The projects can be many-fold but all within scope of logistics. Some examples can be strategy clarification for a given topic, process optimizations, and digitalization initiatives within logistics setup. 


First class project management skills mixed with great stakeholder management skills
You hold a relevant B.Sc or M.Sc degree and have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience with project management, ideally within supply chain, logistics or similar. You have experience as a project manager driving complex projects from large organisations in a structured way. We expect you to be skilled in project governance and in the roles and responsibilities pertaining steering group and project team members. 


Your ability to establish collaboration both inside and around your projects and to influence functional teams throughout the organisation is key to achieving your goals in this role. Therefore, it is important that you are able to navigate and thrive in a complex stakeholder landscape, and that you are able to apply your interpersonal skills to create meaningful relationships across the group. As you will be part of a newly established function it is important that you are flexible on your role and can balance being committed on plans and setup but also pragmatic and practical when this is needed. You talk and write English at negotiation level.
