Senior Logistics Consultant

Ready to make a real impact?
We are on a transformation journey to standardize and digitalize logistics across our 8 business units and are currently seeking a logistics consultant to take active part in optimizing our global logistics setup and contribute to tangible improvements of our logistics setup. If this sounds motivating to you, then keep reading – you might be just the one we are looking for.

Success starts with a team
Danish Crown Procurement & Logistics is a recently combined department where you will find skilled colleagues in both Procurement and Logistics all working across Danish Crown Group. You will join the Group Logistics team, where skilled and committed colleagues will help bring you onboard. We strive for a working environment where well-being is key and ensuring that professional sparring is available and relevant.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for analysing parts of our logistics setup and flows to identify opportunities, propose improvements, create business cases and analyse impact.
  • Driving smaller improvements and join teams in larger logistics improvement projects to carry out analytical aspects and help develop and implement improved solutions.
  • As part of delivering improvements, you are responsible for developing group standards in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and users of the standards.

Examples of specific tasks in the job:

  • Analyse logistics flows and propose optimizations including estimating the impact of such changes.
  • Drive development of defined global logistics solutions and standards as part of improving our logistics setups.
  • Join project teams on larger projects and contribute by analyzing potentials, solving project tasks and developing new solutions.
  • Contribute in developing performance indicators to identify best practices and drive scaling of best practices across our group as part of increased value creation.
  • Drive improvements across business units and support business unit logistics on improvements.
  • Calculate/validate improvement impact.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions are matching business needs and solid interfaces to other functions such as Planning, Manufacturing and Sales.

You contribute with sharp analysis and solutions
In this position, your role is to join logistics optimization projects and contribute by analyzing setups and data, identifying improvement opportunities and contribute in developing better solutions in collaboration with the rest of the project team and stakeholders. In some periods you will also drive smaller improvements yourself and find solutions together with relevant business stakeholders.

In order to succeed you need a structured and data driven approach. You have a natural ability to navigate in complex organization setups, and you establish quick overviews and understanding of value chain and business mechanisms. To succeed it is important that you are able to work both strategically and tactically and understand how we best support the development in individual business units while optimizing the totality across the Danish Crown group.

The ideal candidate would have
A relevant B.Sc or M.Sc degree within supply chain or logistics, alternatively expert knowledge within logistics or supply chain optimization. Having education or training within lean or six sigma will be an advantage. We envision you have a minimum of 5-8 years within supply chain and logistics, combined with a proven track record driving or contributing to optimizations of logistics or supply chain processes and setups. Further you are experienced in working in complex global organizations.
