Senior Director, OCIO 

Do you combine a strategic mindset with the ability to turn priorities into execution? And would you like to play a central role in shaping governance, portfolio management and organisational effectiveness across Global IT?

As Senior Director, Office of the CIO, you will work closely with the CIO and serve as a member of the Global IT leadership team. As one of the CIO’s closest strategic partners, you will have significant influence on the direction and effectiveness of Global IT, helping translate strategic priorities into clear governance, transparent decisions and disciplined execution across the organisation.

You will lead the Office of the CIO and have responsibility for strengthening the structures, processes and management practices that enable Global IT to deliver business value. The role combines strategy, portfolio governance, organisational transformation and leadership support in an international and complex environment.

Drive strategy, governance and execution across Global IT

A key part of your role will be to create overview, alignment and momentum across strategic initiatives, transformation programmes and major projects. You will lead the Head of IT PMO and, together with the IT PMO function, develop the portfolio intake and prioritisation process, support investment decisions and ensure transparency on progress, capacity, dependencies, risks and expected value.

You will also develop and document the Global IT operating model, including governance forums, decision rights, management cadence and escalation paths. In close collaboration with leaders and specialists across Global IT and corporate functions, you will help connect plans, budgets, resources, vendors, organisational changes and delivery priorities.

Beyond governance and portfolio management, you will support the effectiveness of the leadership team. This includes planning and facilitating Core Leadership Team meetings and workshops, ensuring clear decisions and ownership, and following up on agreed actions. You will also contribute to onboarding new IT leaders and strengthening leadership collaboration across Global IT.

Your impact and key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CIO, supporting strategic decision-making and organisational priorities.
• Lead the Office of the CIO and strengthen governance, operating models and management frameworks across Global IT.
• Lead the Head of IT PMO and support the continued development and effectiveness of the IT PMO function.
• Own and continuously develop the Global IT portfolio management process, ensuring transparent prioritisation, investment governance and value delivery.
• Drive organisational transformation and business-critical change initiatives across Global IT.
• Ensure performance transparency through effective reporting, dashboards and KPI-driven follow-up.
• Facilitate alignment and collaboration across leadership teams, business functions and technology domains to secure execution of strategic priorities.
• Strengthening leadership effectiveness, organisational capabilities and execution discipline across the Global IT organisation.

A strategic leader who creates clarity and progress

You bring leadership experience from a complex IT or technology-driven environment and have worked with organisational transformation and operating model development. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, and you know how to create structure without adding unnecessary complexity.

You combine strategic perspective with a practical and results-oriented approach. You can challenge constructively, bring stakeholders together and follow through until decisions are translated into action. At the same time, you communicate clearly and confidently with senior leaders and build trust across organisational boundaries.

A central role in the continued development of Global IT

This is an opportunity to take on a broad and influential leadership role at the centre of Global IT. Working closely with the CIO and contributing as a member of the Global IT leadership team, you will help shape key priorities and decisions across the organisation. The role offers significant scope to influence how Global IT prioritises, collaborates and executes, while advancing transformation and stronger business value delivery.
