Senior Category Manager, Group Procurement, Logistics

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager within road logistics to build the category strategies, and drive value creation in close collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Danish Crown Group Procurement & Logistics is a newly combined department where you find skilled logistics colleagues in procurement as well as Group Logistics.

You take ownership of your own category
In this position we search for a self-driven Senior Category Manager, who can lead the Road logistics category. With steady hands you take lead in defining and implementing category strategies aligned to business needs and deliver on both value and ESG targets for the category. You have a natural data driven approach. You gather and evaluate facts and engage internal stakeholders to define the business objectives, relevant projects, and strategies. You are also key responsible for all negotiations within the category, taking lead on the entire process from business case and tender materials to the final contract. The process will also be supported by your skilled colleagues making sure everything from data to legal matters is correct.  

Your primary tasks will be:

• Develop a strategy for your category together with your stakeholders 
• Independently plan and carry out on the strategy for the category 
• Define business objectives and create business case
• Prepare tender materials and complete supplier negotiations
• Implement sourcing-projects in your category with support from our Sourcing PMO where relevant
• Develop and optimize the category and the supplier relations
• Conduct complex data analysis
• Drive supplier relationship management on selected strategic suppliers    

You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, meaning you are fostering good and open collaboration across teams and business areas. 

We expect that you: 

• Have strong skills and proven track record delivering solid results within Category Management of road logistics services, Supplier Relationship Management and Contract Management 
• Have experience in complex data management and has solid analytical skills 
• Have a solid business understanding and a strategic mindset 
• Enjoy working with procurement models and are familiar with Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel. 
• Communicate effortlessly in English and Danish; both oral and written 

The ideal candidate has a solid business understanding and great skills in developing category strategies, Supplier Relationship Management, Category Management, Contract Management and Supplier Innovation and is highly experienced in cross-functional collaboration. Furthermore, if you work data driven with a strategic focus, and if you have experience with complex data management and is result-oriented and strong-willed with a high level of energy and an optimistic mind, it´s close to being the ideal match.
