DNK-Randers, Tulipvej

Business Development Manager

Do you want to influence our agenda and be responsible for strategy development within your own area? Are you motivated to become a part of shaping the consumers’ future food experiences? Up for the task, then you’re the one we are looking for! There is nothing textbook about changing our industry, so this is your chance to make a real impact and help us write the next chapter for food.

Become a part of a transformation journey
You’ll be part of Danish Crown Categories where our job is to drive a transformation journey where we develop our business through a focus on branding, consumer engagement and innovation. We work together to create even better products and even stronger brands for the benefit of consumers internationally. Specifically, you’ll become a part of our newly established Insights & Future Formats team where you’ll get 11 close colleagues who look forward to welcoming you.

We have established this new team to ensure that we achieve our goals in both commercialising our global sustainability agenda and defining future formats to develop our business. Future formats are important for Danish Crown as a company as it is through this work that we identify and define future business areas e.g. within new types of proteins. You’ll have an important role in this work.

Leave your mark on our footprint and develop new business areas
Your main responsibility in this role is to translate macro market trends into medium- and longer-term strategies detailing how Danish Crown should develop within future formats. Future formats being e.g. plant-based 2.0 and other alternative protein types. Plant-based is currently the most mature area, where we have taken the first steps, and here your first task is to develop a five-year strategy for plant-based 2.0. This includes:

  • Building a baseline understanding of the plant-based category including driving a global project around plant-based consumer trends
  • Monitoring market development within new ingredients, technologies, and production methods to drive recommendations within these areas
  • Follow relevant research projects and clarify opportunities for Danish Crown.

Additionally, your tasks will be to:

  • Drive the identification of a playing-field for new business areas and future food formats, and define how we should work with these
  • Follow the global market development within new types of protein and define how Danish Crown should develop within these areas
  • Contribute to determine what role Danish Crown should play long-term in relation to these new business areas.

In the team, we primarily work project-based meaning that you will on an on-going basis be responsible for and participate in cross-functional projects.

Experienced strategy developer who wants to make a real impact
You hold a relevant master’s degree, e.g. within marketing, business or strategy combined with +5 years of strategy development experience – maybe as a management consultant or from a larger company. You could be a skilled generalist looking for new opportunities or maybe you already have some experience working with business development within plant-based or other new formats within food. You are experienced within project management, so you know how to create an overview of complex projects while creating consensus among stakeholders.

It is important that you are motivated for making a real impact on how we will work in the future. You possess solid stakeholder management skills, and it comes natural for you to build and maintain good relations. As a person, you are positive with a forward-thinking mindset and a can-do-attitude. You have a consumer-centric mindset and master English orally and in writing.
