Product Manager Pizza Topping - with an Activation & Marketing Mindset 

Are you our new team member, with a desire to be part of a global team in one of Denmark's largest FMCG companies, where you will have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our biggest categories. 

 

At Danish Crown, we believe that results are created by talented and dedicated people and we have an opening for a product manager position where you will be responsible for securing a strong product portfolio within our topping category. 


Based at our head office in Randers you will be part of Global Categories, Marketing and Innovation in Danish Crown Foods, which drives the global category strategy and execution across a number of categories. More specifically, you will be part of our category team consisting of seven dedicated colleagues, working across channels, brand and product management in topping. 


The topping category operates in different sales channels like Industry processing, QSR, Foodservice and retail


Key responsibilities:
It is important that you secure a strong and competitive product portfolio in close cooperation with sales, production and category management. 


You will be responsible for product management within the topping category. Over time, you will become our go-to expert on all product-related matters, including packaging, receipts, cost structures, qualities.


You will also be the first point of contact for all markets and commercial initiated products, packaging adjustments and developments in retail and foodservice where you will secure alignment with category manager/director. Since retail also requires some activation / in-store you should also have communication capabilities for making activation in Danish retail.


Your main tasks will include:

  • Project management of adjustments and new developments of products
  • Conduct follow-up and status meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Build and secure business cases with commercial commitment for relevant projects
  • Ensure speed to market, prioritization of projects and manage expectations towards key stakeholders  
  • Assortment follow-up and optimisation  lead to optimise product assortment and reduce costs including ongoing SKU rationalization, recipe optimisations etc.
  • Identify and drive product-related projects directed aimed at production optimisation (packaging, assortments, etc.) 
  • Coordinate implementation of category strategy between markets in retail and foodservice to secure execution of joint initiatives 
  • Launch retail and foodservice products including sell in presentations, arguments, design and activation initiatives – which you will present at different meetings
  • Ad-hoc projects across the category 

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • A master degree within marketing, business or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of business experience, preferably in food related FMCG product management 
  • Experience and proven record working in a matrix organization
  • Experience working with SAP is an advantage
