DNK-Randers, Danish Crown Vej

Indirect Tax Specialist

Are you ready to influence the Indirect Tax agenda in a dynamic and international company? Do you thrive on working with complex VAT and energy taxes across multiple jurisdictions? If so, we invite you to join our team as an Indirect Tax Specialist at our headquarters in Randers.

As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Danish Crown’s subsidiaries remain compliant with local and international indirect tax regulations. You will be part of the Group Tax department, collaborating with a team of seven experienced professionals while engaging with over 24,000 colleagues worldwide as we work together to create a more sustainable food production industry.

This position offers a broad and varied scope, allowing you to work at both a strategic and operational level. You will be responsible for analyzing, advising, and implementing indirect tax policies across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that Danish Crown remains ahead of regulatory changes. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing VAT and energy tax processes, identifying risks, and driving efficiency through automation.

Beyond compliance, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, and operations. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on tax implications for business decisions. Additionally, you will contribute to cross-functional projects, collaborating with teams across different regions to streamline tax reporting and enhance governance.

Expect approximately 5–10 travel days per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive automation and optimization of VAT reporting and analytical tools.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Advise our Center of Excellence and Shared Service Center in Poland.
  • Participate in global, cross-functional projects focused on indirect tax matters.
  • Provide advisory services to group entities globally, supporting standardized processes and new legislation.
  • Support VAT audits and tax authority interactions.

Who are we looking for?
You hold a relevant educational background—such as a bachelor’s degree in taxation, equivalent—and have a few years of documented experience working with indirect tax.
You approach tasks in a structured and analytical manner, with strong attention to detail and business acumen. You take pride in delivering high-quality work and are proactive in engaging with stakeholders across the organization.

You are comfortable translating legislation into operational processes and IT systems. A solid understanding of Danish VAT rules is essential, and you are eager to deepen your expertise within international indirect tax.

For the right candidate, this position offers opportunities for professional development and the chance to grow into a broader role within Group Tax and the wider Danish Crown Group. You will be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and BW is an advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
