Head of Strategic Marketing in Global Categories 

 

Do you want to cook up new solutions and create value in our global categories, thereby reforming our industry?  

 

As part of our Feeding the Future strategy we have created a new unit called Danish Crown Global Categories. The new category organisation will be a value generator for Danish Crown and have special focus on innovation, sustainability and elevating the value proposition across the different categories and brands.   

 

An open invitation to influence the agenda and set the direction for Marketing and global Brands 
You will be playing a pivotal part in the new organisation as Head of Strategic Marketing where you will be championing our global brands, Tulip and Danish Crown, setting the direction for a commercialization of our corporate sustainability initiatives, leading the development of consumer insights and driving marketing excellence. Naturally, the first thing on your agenda will be to build your teams and set the right direction along with the rest of the new Global Categories organisation.  

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Set the strategic direction and development for global branding and marketing excellence 
  • Develop global brand guidelines, global communication platform, and global campaigns for local market execution. Approve local campaigns on Danish Crown and Tulip to secure alignment with global brand guidelines 
  • Own the brand architecture and develop new global concepts under Danish Crown and Tulip (e.g., to commercialize sustainability) 
  • Determine overall visual identity for global brands, incl guidelines for pack design. Execute multi-market pack design 
  • Support the aim for being even more consumer driven – e.g., by offering valid consumer insights on global categories and develop a cross company relevant approach for the use of data 
  • Set overall direction for the innovation processes and performance tracking and offer support for building up innovation pipeline for global categories 
  • Develop processes and assure relevant knowledge sharing across 
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, EHS, Group Communication 
  • Develop your team and set new professional standards across the company 

 

FMCG experience and strong stakeholder management skills 
You have experience within FMCG and a keen interest in the food industry as well as sustainability. Having a global and strategic mindset is important as well as thriving in a complex matrix organisation. Ability to create followership across the organization and on several levels is a must to succeed. 

 

Experience within category development, business development, strategy and/or marketing is key. Just as excellent people and stakeholder management skills are important. You add value to the business and your teams in both your direct and indirect leadership.
