Payroll & HR Master Data Specialist (French Speaker)
Area of Responsibility:
As a Payroll & HR Master Data Specialist, you will be part of Danish Crown People & Culture, supporting payroll operations and employee master data processes for French-speaking countries.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining high-quality employee data within HR systems. You will work closely with local HR teams, payroll vendors, managers, and employees, ensuring compliance with internal standards and service level agreements.
You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity across the employee lifecycle and supporting payroll-related activities through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
More specifically, you will:
- Support end-to-end payroll operations for French-speaking entities.
- Validate and maintain employee master data in HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent).
- Process employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, leave events, and terminations.
- Prepare and validate payroll input data, ensuring completeness and accuracy before payroll execution.
- Cooperate with external payroll providers and local HR teams to ensure timely payroll processing.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and data-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and data quality checks.
- Generate payroll and HR reports for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain employee documentation and support payroll-related administration.
- Act as a gatekeeper of employee data quality, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
Who are you?
You are a detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll and HR administration. You enjoy working with data, processes, and stakeholders from different countries while ensuring a high level of accuracy and customer service.
You are comfortable operating in a dynamic international environment and can balance local requirements with global standards.
Educational background:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Payroll Administration, HR Operations, Labor Law, or HR Systems are considered an asset.
You have:
- 2–4 years of experience in Payroll, HR Operations, HR Administration, HR Shared Services, or a similar role.
- Experience working with employee master data and payroll processes.
- Understanding of the employee lifecycle (Hire-to-Retire process).
- Experience cooperating with payroll vendors or external service providers.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential employee information.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with HR systems (preferably SAP SuccessFactors).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent French (minimum B2/C1).
- Very good English skills (minimum B2).
Nice to have:
- Experience in an international SSC/GBS environment.
- Knowledge of French payroll regulations and labor legislation.
- Experience with ADP payroll provider
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Experience with payroll validation and reconciliation activities.
- Knowledge of HR reporting and data quality management.
