Director, Procurement Center of Excellence

As Director, Procurement Centre of Excellence, you will lead the evolution of Danish Crown's Procure-to-Pay operating model, drive strategic transformation initiatives and build the capabilities, governance and digital foundation that support future growth.

 

Working at the intersection of Procurement, Technology and Business Services, you will influence senior stakeholders, lead a talented international organization and deliver meaningful change with impact across the entire Group.

 

A role with strategic impact on Danish Crown’s Procurement agenda

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on ownership of procurement transformation and process excellence. You will be responsible for developing the future direction of Procurement Excellence together with the CPO, ensuring that global processes, governance frameworks and supporting technologies enable standardization, efficiency and business value creation.

 

You will work closely with Group Procurement, Finance, Technology and Business Unit stakeholders and drive the continued evolution of Danish Crown's Source-to-Pay operating model and help establish best-in-class processes across the organization.

 

A key part of your mandate will be to lead and develop the Procurement Centre of Excellence organization in Kraków, building strong capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Through your leadership, the Center of Excellence will act as a trusted partner to both Procurement and the business, ensuring that process governance, digitalization initiatives, master data management and transformation programs are successfully delivered and adopted globally. 


Success in the role requires the ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution, influence stakeholders across a complex international environment and lead change on a global scale.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead and further develop the Procurement Centre of Excellence, building organizational capabilities, strengthening performance and positioning the function as a key enabler of Procurement and GBS (Global Business Services) transformation.
  • Own and govern the procurement processes ensuring strong alignment with accounts payable. Co-drive with Finance the Source-to-Pay process agenda and efficiencies to ensure we deliver on the transformation.
  • Govern Danish Crown's global Source-to-Pay and Purchase-to-Pay processes, ensuring robust governance, consistent standards and alignment across business units, functions and geographies in close collaboration with our Group Procurement department.
  • Define, in collaboration with the CPO, drive and execute the Procurement Excellence transformation roadmap, driving initiatives focused on standardization, automation, digitalization and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Group Procurement, Finance, Technology and GBS to improve operational effectiveness, strengthen collaboration and maximize business value.
  • Drive the development and optimization of procurement and ERP systems and supporting master data processes to enhance process performance, transparency and decision-making.
  • Deliver reoccurring performance management data and drive the further development of reporting.
  • Act as a change leader and trusted advisor, creating alignment between global standards and local business needs while ensuring successful adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working.

 

The position will require frequent travels to our Headquarter in Randers, Denmark, approx. 1-2 each month. 

 

 

Who Are You?

You are an experienced leader with a strong track record of driving procurement transformation and building high-performing organizations. You combine deep knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes with the ability to lead complex change initiatives across international organizations. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and have the credibility to influence senior leaders while engaging teams throughout the organization.

 

You also bring:

 

  • 10-15 years of experience within Procurement, Transformation, Shared Services, Consulting or Operational Excellence.
  • Solid leadership experience, including responsibility for managers and specialist teams.
  • Proven success delivering large transformation and continuous improvement programs in international environments.
  • Deep expertise in Source-to-Contract and Purchase-to-Pay processes.
  • Experience as Process Owner, Transformation Lead, CoE Lead or similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement operating models, governance frameworks and process management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP and procurement technology platforms and appetite for using AI.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across functions and management levels.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Professional fluency in English.
