Data Engineering Team

 

The Data Engineering is a group of IT experts who are passionate about building and implementing state-of-the-art platform solutions enhancing the way the data is being used. With the usage of best-in-class cloud infrastructure, this diverse group of professionals provides the future-proof technology foundations speeding up our digital transformation adventure.

We are working with cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud, AI, ML, APIs as well as project management practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Product Management, Design Thinking).

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our amazing Team.

 


Responsibilities:
 

  • Create, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ingest and transform data from various systems using batch and stream processing
  • Collaborate closely with other project team members (architects, data managers, product managers, cloud administrators, DevOps engineers) to design, build and implement future-proof data solutions on the cloud platform (ingesting source data across multiple sources, cleansing and validating to standardizing, harmonizing and transforming data for reporting purposes)
  • Participate in the ideation, conceptualization, development, and maintenance of our own Data Platform built in MS Azure ;
  • Research, evaluate, and develop Danish Crown Data Platform capabilities to solve new data problems and challenges.
  • Work on automation and optimization of internal processes as well as extend and improve our internal frameworks, develop guidelines and best practices in MS Azure and within the team
  • Influence the future of MS Azure and cloud technologies and the ways they can be used within the Data Engineering team.
  • Monitor overall platform performance and be proactive in proposing changes and improvements to enhance overall platform proficiency.
  • Communicate with various teams, keeping everyone informed on deployments, issues, and solutions.


 

Qualifications

We are looking for:

 

  • 2-3 years of practical and hands on experience in data engineering using the Microsoft Azure stack.
  • Experience in data modelling (multidimensional data models)
  • Knowledge of building ETL processes
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL programming
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Ability to break down complex technical work into smaller manageable parts
  • Hands on experience writing clean and effective code, utilizing version control, and testing efficiently.
  • Good communicator with the ability to present complex ideas to a non-technical audience
  • Problem solving skills
  • English proficiency

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer / Systems / Industrial Engineering, Business / Management Information Systems or Software Development.
  • Experience with data analytics, data science, artificial intelligence is a plus
  • Experienced with Python, Apache Airflow and Git
  • Certifications – MS Azure Data Engineering etc
