Shipping Trainee

Our two-year ESS-FOOD International Trainee-Programme (EFIT) will throw you into an ambitious, casual, and result-driven culture and company. 
We are looking for shipping trainees to join us in our offices either in central Copenhagen or in Aalborg from September 1, 2024.
EFIT – A modern trainee programme

We are experts in developing and growing trainees in their personal and professional education. We strive to attract individuals, who are driven and eager to learn about the world of shipping. Our daily tasks consist of coordinating and managing shipments from A-B, including daily communication with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. All while providing the best possible service all around.


The two-year Shipping Trainee Programme is focused on logistics and distribution and will take you through all important aspects of the shipping area, in collaboration with colleagues from various departments worldwide. Your primary task will be to arrange products to be moved from A to B, while coordinating and managing shipments, documents, customer care etc.
As a Shipping Trainee, it is required that you follow the Business School’s Shipping track alongside the EFIT-Programme.

The EFIT-Programme promises a personal and professional growth through mentoring, in-house sessions, trainings, seminars, and visits at Danish stakeholders. Additionally, you will become part of a trainee group across the Danish Crown Group – focusing on business understanding, team building and growth.
Your development and growth is key and support will be given within a fixed framework of managers, supervisors and buddies in order for us to succeed together.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have completed an admission-granting education, e.g. EUX Business, HHX or EUS or maybe you have a bachelor’s degree (or are about to finish your degree)
  • You possess excellent Danish and English skills 
  • A business-oriented mindset and an international and enthusiastic outlook
  • A service-oriented attitude with a ‘can do’ approach and an eye for details
  • You are a team-player, ready to collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Experience from previous part-time jobs.
