Production workers, Holsted 

Do you have a positive attitude towards your work, and do you want to use your hands to create results? Do you have experience with using a knife? Then you may be one of the employees we are looking for, to our abattoir in Holsted.


Danish Crown Beef Holsted was established in the autumn 2014 and is the number one modern cattle abattoir in Europe. There is slaughtered 4500 animals a week and the slaughterhouse employ approximately 400 employees. Besides deboning and cutting the production handles ground beef – a total of 500 tons a week, corresponding to approximately 60% of all the ground beef the Danes eat - every week. 


Fixed structure and fixed working hours – and up till 10 weeks of holiday per year
You will work at our butcher’s aisle, where you will work with experienced and committed colleagues. Here, you will have a regular working week in fixed structure and with great and thorough training. 


Specifically, are you work tasks:

  • You will, as earlier mentioned, be part of the butcher chain, where the team’s objective is hanging, opening, and withdraw the inner organs. 


You are employed as an hourly paid, and training is structured as peer training. After training, you will be on a piece rate with a basic salary and piece rate salary. Your working hours will be from 06:00-15.00 Monday-Friday. 


It is a 40-hour work week, where 3 of the hours is labelled as ‘allocation of hours’, and therefore gives 3 weeks extra vacation, meaning you have up till 10 weeks of holiday a year. 


Stabile and robust combined with a positive attitude
It is not a requirement, that you are an educated butcher, but we would like individuals that has interest in the butcher profession and has experience in using a knife. Furthermore, it is a plus if you have experience from a production company and has worked with cattle. If you do not have any experience, you are still welcome to apply for the job, and we will ensure you get the necessary training. 


The most important characteristics of yours is being stabile, robust, and ready to take responsibility and provide the extra effort needed. You like using your hands and create results. We emphasize, that you as a person has a positive mindset towards your tasks and the people around you. It is a plus you speak and understand Danish.
