Time & Motion Study Technician, Haarlem

Are you detail and number-oriented? And can you make accurate work measurements that determine piece rates and cost prices for our products? If you furthermore have an inquisitive mindset and are motivated by continuously optimizing and improving workflows, then we have an exciting job for you as our new time and motion study technician.

You will be employed at our bacon factory in Haarlem and become a part of the international Time & Motion Studies “Processed” team. The Time & Motion Studies “Processed” team consists of 10 team members where 5 are placed in Denmark and 5 in Germany. Some of the team members and the team Manager travel frequently to Haarlem (at least once per month). In Haarlem you will have many colleagues in the factory, all working with different areas across the factory, with many different responsibilities.

Become an important sparring partner
As our new time and motion study technician you will take on the role as an important sparring partner with factory managers regarding continuous improvement. Your overall responsibility will therefore be to ensure optimization of the production process with regards to salary costs, and anchor continuous improvements in production along with monitoring deviations on production reports, follow trends, and implement secure changes as needed.

Your specific tasks will therefore consist of:
•    Working with production optimizations in collaboration with the factory management, but also with the other optimization team members in other sites
•    Being visible in the production areas, and effectively propose optimizations, and share best practice
•    Ensuring that tools are available to easily capture trends in deviations
•    Providing input to Cost Price Meetings with necessary changes in cost prices
•    Ensuring the balance of work tasks vs. value, and thereby focusing on long-term optimization
•    Calculating wages in production, for cost price calculations, and update weekly salary reports.

Inquisitive mindset and a “can do” attitude
As our new colleague you are naturally focused on continuously optimizing workflows and are able to make convincing recommendations based on your findings. You possess a “can do” attitude and an analytical mindset making you able to solve complex issues. In addition, you are focused, and you thrive working with tight deadlines handling multiple tasks at the same time.

You have a practical production background, and maybe an education within production and supply chain. Furthermore, it is great if you are time and motion study trained – however, it is not a direct requirement. Experience within production or logistics from the food production industry is valued along with experiences within Lean or other optimization methods.
