Site Compliance Senior Specialist | Bugle
Drive the standards of quality, safety, and authenticity as a pivotal leader on our high-performing Bugle site, ensuring total food compliance while developing a talented Quality Assurance team.
What you will be doing
As the Site Compliance Senior Specialist reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you will maintain and elevate our exceptional site standards, balancing hands-on factory floor engagement with strategic office-based compliance management.
- Lead & Develop the QA Team: Effectively manage daily operations, recruitment, holiday schedules, and weekly meetings for the Quality Assurance department.
- Ensure Site Compliance & Legality: Manage the QMS, maintain the internal audit schedule, lead root cause investigations, and deputise for the Site Technical Manager to ensure total food safety and product authenticity.
- Control NPD & EPD Processes: Oversee product recipe alterations, generate activity sheets, manage internal packing and processing specifications across BWI and SAP systems, and ensure a seamless transition from development to production.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Partner with the leadership team within the QEHS & Sustainability business unit on operational projects, track technical KPIs, and uphold our site's prestigious accreditations.
What you will bring
We are looking for a dedicated technical professional who pairs deep food safety knowledge with a collaborative leadership style. You will be a champion for cultural change, ensuring our operating systems are strictly adhered to while building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Experience: A proven track record in managing a Food Safety/Technical function and leading QA teams within the food industry, alongside hands-on experience with GFSI accreditations, customer audits, and Process/Product Development (NPD/EPD).
- Hard Skills: Ideally degree-educated in Food Science, Technology, or Microbiology, backed by Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety certifications, with strong technical proficiency in managing specification systems like SAP and BWI.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, an adaptable leadership style capable of driving cultural change, and a proactive approach to risk assessment and collaborative problem-solving.
